One year to go to the Commonwealth Games

Good afternoon all, I hope you’re well.

After four years of planning, we’re now into the final countdown as the Commonwealth Games are now only a year away!

Delivering a safe, secure & welcoming Birmingham 2022 is the biggest operation in WMP’s history and we’ve been planning for it since we submitted the bid back in 2016.

Today we are making our new WMP Birmingham 2022 website live. You can visit it at https://birmingham2022.west-midlands.police.uk/

The site will be the hub & a really important channel for all of the information we’re sharing with our communities & visitors about the Games. 

We’ve already created a whole bank of videos, images and information that we’ve been sharing on social media but this website gives us a platform to gather all that information together in one place. Allowing everyone to find out about all the work and planning that is going into delivering a safe and secure Birmingham 2022.
