Found Missing Person Crime And Patrols (Leicestershire Police)

Hello,

You may be aware of a Burbage resident going missing this morning (06/01/2022). She has been found safe and well. The family are really appreciative of the number of officers that turned out to look for the lady. We would also like to say thank you to those of you who helped look for her.

Good news on the crime scene this week, no reports of residential burglary or vehicle crime in the village other than a phone call to me to notify us that a pair of gloves were taken from an unlocked vehicle around the Tywcross Road area sometime between Sunday 3rd – Monday 4th.

We have been out patrolling, speaking to residents and completing some leaflet drops. During patrols we noticed garden gates/bollards are not being used during the day. Please remember that historic vehicle crime has happened between 12:00-16:00 and 16:00-00:00.

Also during patrols, we had a look into vehicles and it was great to see nothing of value left in vehicles. Areas patrolled include The Meadows, Sapcote Road and Kensington Avenue.

In total for December, Police received 155 calls to 101 or 999 for Burbage. 35 of these calls were emergency, 46 required attendance within the hour.

We have received a report of a smashed window to the Burbage Methodist Church on Windsor Street. It happened on New Year ’s Eve and it appears a glass bottle was thrown through the window. Please get in touch if you have any information on this disgusting act of vandalism. Other than this, the New Year appears to have gone well regarding local incidents.
