Appeal – Sexual Assault Aylestone Meadows (Leicestershire Police)

You are receiving the following appeal as a resident on the South Leicester Policing area.

Officers are appealing for information after a woman was sexually assaulted in a Leicester park.

The incident happened at around 1.35pm on Wednesday (5 January) as a woman was walking through Aylestone Meadows. As she walked close to St Andrews football club, she was approached from behind by a man who touched her on the bottom before he ran off.

The man was dressed all in black and wearing a black or grey hat. He was of average height and appeared slightly overweight or stocky in build.

PC Adam King, who is investigating the incident, is asking for public help to identify the man. He said: “I would like to appeal to anyone who may know who this man is or maybe saw him in the park at this time to please get in touch.”
