As Op Sceptre continues. Hastings High School saw additional police presence to ensure its students understood the risks of carrying Knives.

On Thursday the 19th,  supported by Mr Shipman the head teacher at Hastings, Police attended the school very early unknown to all the pupils and staff and set up our knife arch to ensure that every one arriving at the school wasn’t carrying anything. Many students received some goodies from us such as draw string bags, water bottles or wrists bands.

Around 650 young people passed through the Knife Arch and NO WEAPONS were found, it was great to get to engage with so many young people and share such a powerful messages with them.

Our thanks go to Mr Shipman and all staff at Hastings High School for supporting this event. Your pupils are a credit to your school

There were a couple of incidents reported on East and West Close on the 13th/14th of May where two vehicles have been rummaged through at around midnight. A phone charger was taken. We will try and target patrols in areas that suffer crime with the resource that is available. Please remember to lock your vehicle and do not leave anything in the vehicle.

Remember to visit our event at the Millennium Hall on Tuesday 31st May from 10:00-16:00. Lots to do, talk about and here to help and hopefully answer any questions you may have. Items, tables and displays for crime prevention, drugs, online safety, road safety and much more.
