A50 near hospital closed due to collision
A collision outside Glenfield Hospital closed the busy A50 on the afternoon on Friday, August 3.
Emergency services were called to the scene of a crash on Groby Road westbound where the road was blocked.
The incident, which occurred close to the New Parks Way Roundabout, caused slow traffic on the surrounding routes.
Traffic management site, Inrix, reported “very slow traffic” on New Parks Way towards Glenfield Hospital.
Motorists were warned to avoid the area if possible.
