South Leicester Police – Op SCEPTRE – Knife Crime (Leicestershire Police)

Dear South Leicester Resident,

You are receiving this email as a resident on the South Leicester Neighbourhood Policing Area (NPA).

Starting on Monday 15th November 2021, Leicestershire Poilice are supporting Operation Sceptre – a national campaign to help tackle knife crime. During this week, officers from across the force will be undertaking a range of activities including targeted operations, carrying out knife sweeps in parks and other locations, paying visits to habitual knife carriers, and providing education sessions to young people in schools to explain the dangers and consequences that come from carrying a knife.

It is hoped that by highlighting the consequences and offering practical solutions and advice, the campaign will prevent people from picking up a knife in the first place.

If you are looking for help and support, please visit Leicestershire Police’s website. If you are a concerned family member or friend there is also information on the website to help you: https://www.leics.police.uk/livesnotknives

You can follow the campaign on social media via the #OpSceptre and #LivesNotKnives hashtags and following ‘Leicestershire Police’ and ‘South Leicester Police’ on Twitter and Facebook.

Kind regards,
