South Leicester Police – County Lines Action (Leicestershire Police)

Dear South Leicester Resident,

Last week, Officers from South Leicester Police took part in a 4 day operation during a national Intensification Week to target ‘County Lines’ drug dealing across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

In the South Leicester area specifically, Officers seized a total of 16 vehicles and 12 arrests were made for a range of offences around weapons, fraud, and cross border supply of drugs.

Looking at the wider Leicestershire Police area, a total of 38 warrants were executed and 63 arrests were made. A total of 54 vulnerable people were directly safeguarded throughout the operation. The force recovered a large quantity of drugs and over £30k in cash.

Our work does not stop there – and you can help too! Knowing the signs of ‘County Lines’ can help you play your part within your community. It is vital that we work together to keep children and vulnerable people safe. Visit https://livesafe.org.uk/parents-and-carers/criminal-exploitation-and-gangs/ to find out more.
