The Borough Council and its partners stand ready to offer support to any local Avro Energy employees after the Hinckley based business ceased trading yesterday.
Council Leader Stuart Bray said:
In these difficult times it is particularly disappointing to see the national energy crisis affect a Hinckley based business; I’m very concerned about the impact of this failure on people’s careers and livelihoods. We and our partners – the DWP, National Careers Service and Leicestershire Employment Hub – stand ready to help and advise those workers who are affected by this announcement.
